You are invited to join the 2024 Australian medtech delegation to North America, taking in the global medtech hub of Minneapolis, Minnesota and the MedTech Conference (15 - 17 October 2024) in Toronto, Canada.

MTPConnect is leading this mission for medtech startups, SMEs, researchers and entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative technologies and unique capabilities, explore partnering opportunities and build valuable connections into international markets.

In Toronto, the MedTech Conference 2024 will convene over 3,500 industry leaders from companies designing, producing and distributing advanced medical technologies. The conference offers an interactive educational program, business development and partnering, product showcasing and networking opportunities over three full days at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.

In the US, Minnesota’s ‘Medical Alley’ is a powerhouse global medtech cluster, home to 15,000 healthcare companies employing 500,000 people including one of the world’s biggest device companies and the world’s #1 hospital.

MTPConnect CEO Stuart Dignam says the mission to these two cities is a unique opportunity to explore and secure medtech opportunities in North America.

“The U.S. is the largest medical device market in the world and we want to help Australian companies tap into opportunities and make strategic business connections so they can expand to other markets,” Mr Dignam said.

“Following the success of our recent BIO mission to San Diego, we’re offering an extensive visit and event program in Minneapolis, ahead of the MedTech Conference.

“The program will include site visits to leading companies, hospitals and research institutes, expert insights on the US regulatory and payor systems and networking events.

“Participating in the carefully curated visit program will add enormous value to your understanding of the US market and the opportunities it presents, and really maximise the impact of your visit to North America,” he said.

Delegates need to arrive in Minneapolis on 9 October for this two-day program (10-11 October 2024) before heading to Toronto.

To help promote Australian companies at the MedTech Conference, MTPConnect will deliver a prominent ‘Team Australia’ Pavilion to provide a high-profile place to gather and conduct business meetings within the convention center.
