WA Grant Excellence Service (WAGES) Grant Development Workshop for Clinician Researchers

This virtual workshop is designed to help clinicians (medical doctors, nursing and midwifery and allied health professionals) maximise their chances of success in the Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF) grant opportunities. This practical workshop will:

• Cover the core elements of MRFF schemes, what’s required for research proposals and how grant applications are assessed
• Provide targeted advice and insights from experienced reviewers and grant holders.
• Include time for writing and to develop your application.

WAGES workshops are designed for teams to come together and develop and enhance their ideas into a strategic plan for a grant application. Therefore, each registrant is strongly encouraged to nominate up to 3 team members who also attend the workshop.

This workshop will include two half day sessions, held over two weeks via Teams. Selected teams will be required to attend both sessions, please ensure that you and at least one of your team members can commit to attending both sessions.

• First session – 17 June 2026, 9am-12pm.
• Second session – 25 June 2026, 1-4pm.

Registrations will remain open until COB 29 May 2026.

Selected teams will be notified by Friday 5 June 2026.
